Pina has completed extensive training in CBT and practices from a CBT model with children and adolescents, as well as with adults across the age spectrum. Working from a culturally responsive base, she is privileged to work with Indigenous clients and is NIHB approved. Areas of focus include children and adolescents, chronic health conditions, and trauma. Along with her clinical practice, Pina is an Instructor in Laurier’s Continuing Education Program, she is a Field Supervisor working closely with Laurier’s BSW/MSW and MSW Indigenous Field of Study programs. She is a Peer Supervision Lead and believes strongly in a lifelong learning mindset that extends from academia to engaging lived experiences from the communities and people that surround you.
Outside of clinical practice, Pina is an avid believer in volunteerism and spends much of her free time providing support in a variety of forums to the Type 1 Diabetes community.

Valerie Hopkins pursued post-secondary education graduating with a BA in Sociology; BSW Honours; BA in Child Social Institutions; and an MSW from the University of Western Ontario. Valerie has enjoyed working with First Nations and non-Indigenous clientele and communities. She has done one to one and group counselling with all age groups in a variety of areas including Domestic Violence; Addictions; Sexual Abuse; Historical Trauma; Court support. Sue is an accomplished psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work and Education from the University of Toronto. With specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including Enhanced CBT for insomnia, trauma and women’s reproductive health, she offers a comprehensive approach to mental well-being. Certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and skilled in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sue integrates DBT, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed practices to provide effective support tailored to individual needs.
Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, and issues related to birth, loss, menopause, and psychosis. She is passionate about helping women navigate their reproductive lifespan, fostering resilience and empowerment in their journeys. He also holds a Masters Degree from the University of Toronto (MSW) completed in 1987. He is formally trained in Strategic Family Therapy; Solution Focused Family Therapy; Dialectic Behavioural Therapy and treatment strategies for ADHD. Robert has extensive experience treating depression, anxiety; adhd and trauma. He further works with neurodivergence extensively in his practice.
